BY PLANE
GET TO ORVIETO FROM ROME AND WE TAKE CARE OF YOU FROM THERE
The recommended way is to fly to Rome, get to the main railway station and take a train to Orvieto.
In Orvieto we have a free shuttle service every few hours or on demand.
The Shuttle service is available also to go back.
Airport to Orvieto
From any airport, it’s easy to get to Orvieto, with a change in Roma Termini (main railway station).
There are several trains per hour.
The fastest is the Intercity which takes as little as 1 hour and 6 minutes and costs just 9,90 €
The Shuttle Service is available also the 4th afternoon/evening and the 5th all day.
Free Shuttle Orvieto > Conference
The Shuttle comes approximately every 2 hours and takes 43 minutes to reach the castle. It’s free.
Don’t worry about being late: let us know when you arrive and we’ll book your slot, but we’re flexible.

PERUGIA AIRPORT
Easiest one by far
The Perugia airport is small but if you manage to fly there, we will welcome you there with the shuttle, and then it’s just 57 minutes to the Castle.
The Marconi Express train from Bologna airport to Bologna Railway Station
BOLOGNA AIRPORT
Just get to Orvieto and we will welcome you there
The Bologna airport is pretty far but you may have a better flight to there.
In that case you may do the following:
- From Bologna Airport to Bologna Station take the Marconi Express train (Every 7-15 minutes, 7 minutes trip, about 12,8 €) or the bus Marconi Express 949 (every 33 minutes, about 28 minutes trip, 9,8 €).
- Take a fast train from Bologna to Florence (about 38 minutes, from 13,90 € if you buy early, up to about 29 € if you buy closer to the date) with Italo or Trenitalia
- Take a train from Florence to Orvieto (not Orvieto Centro). The fastest train is direct 1 hour 38 and costs 9,9 €. Most trains take 2 hours and require changing train.
- Once in Orvieto, you’re in our hands and can start enjoying Umbria!
FLORENCE AIRPORT
Just get to Orvieto and we will welcome you there
- From Florence Airport to Florence Station take the T2 tramway (every 12 minutes, about 7 minutes trip, 1,7 €).
- Take a train from Florence to Orvieto (not Orvieto Centro). The fastest train is direct 1 hour 38 and costs 9,9 €. Most trains take 2 hours and require changing train.
- Once in Orvieto, take our free shuttle service.
BY CAR
- 2 hours from Rome
- 2 hours 30 minutes from Florence
- 3 hours 36 minutes from Bologna
- 5 hours 20 minutes from Milan
It’s all highway until Orvieto and then 42 minutes on non-toll roads.
